DI & 1Life Christmas Service

This powerful message invites us to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of children and youth who remind us that Jesus is the ultimate gift. We're challenged to look beyond the decorations in our homes—the evergreen trees, ornaments, lights, bells, stars, and presents—and find spiritual significance in each symbol. The evergreen represents our everlasting life with Christ, always pointing heavenward and never becoming dormant in our faith. Ornaments symbolize God's countless blessings in our lives, reminding us that we'll run out of ornaments before we run out of blessings to count. The lights call us to be beacons in darkness, while bells remind us that Jesus is our shepherd who never stops seeking us. At the heart of it all is Romans 10:9, which gives us the simplest path to salvation: confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. This message beautifully emphasizes that receiving God's gift isn't about earning it through perfect behavior or converting the most people—it's about faith, belief, and allowing ourselves to be renewed daily by His grace. We're reminded that just as earthly gifts fade, the gift of Jesus remains forever, transforming us into new creations.
