The Power of Your Testimony

Nov 23, 2025    Pastor Duane Butler

This powerful message invites us into a profound exploration of how our testimonies fuel our faith and become weapons in spiritual warfare. Drawing from Revelation 12:11, we discover that we overcome the enemy by two things: the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. The blood represents heaven's sacrifice—our salvation, deliverance, and God's choosing of us. But our testimony represents the evidence of Jesus working in our lives, the eyewitness account that God is good and His mercy endures forever. When the devil comes to remind us of our past, we counter with what God actually did in our past. When opposition tries to make us doubt, we stand firm on the undeniable moments when God met us, delivered us, healed us, and transformed us. The message beautifully illustrates this through Matthew 21:21-22, reminding us that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive. Notice it doesn't say whatever we ask, but whatever we ask believing. This is where testimony becomes fuel—when we remember what God has already done, our faith is resurrected to believe He'll do it again. We're encouraged to remember that we're not fighting the devil on equal footing; he's already under our feet through Christ. Our testimonies aren't just personal victories; they become a cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1) that strengthen the entire body of Christ. When we struggle, we can borrow each other's testimonies, remembering how God provided, healed, delivered, and restored in our brothers' and sisters' lives. This Thanksgiving season, we're called to offer thanks not just for what we have, but for what lies before us, trusting that the same God who brought us through every trial will continue to show up, even when we can't see how.
