Stay on Mission

Today, we explored the profound message of living for Christ and the importance of community in our faith journey. The central scripture, Philippians 1:21, 'For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain,' challenges us to reexamine our understanding of what it means to truly live for Christ. We discovered that this verse isn't just about personal devotion, but about our impact on others. Paul's struggle between staying on earth to continue his ministry or departing to be with Christ highlights the significance of our earthly mission. We're reminded that we're in the 'people business' - our faith isn't just about personal blessings, but about how we can be a blessing to others. This message encourages us to look beyond ourselves, to esteem others above ourselves, and to actively participate in the body of Christ. It's a call to unity, to bear one another's burdens, and to recognize that when one of us is blessed, we all rejoice. As we reflect on this, let's consider how we can more fully embody Christ's love in our interactions with others, both within and outside our faith community.
