How to Have Eternal Life

Sermon Notes: Sunday, May 21, 2017
Pastor Lloyd Bustard
Message Title: How to Have Eternal Life

My Understanding:
I understand that becoming a Christian isn’t about accepting a philosophy as much as it is accepting Jesus into my life as Lord and Savior.

My Awareness:
I am aware that to become a Christian I must be spiritually born again. This means repenting of my sins to receive forgiveness, and then asking Jesus to come into my life so I can have eternal life.

My Disassociation:
I disassociate from thinking I can save myself. Jesus died on the cross and suffered my shame and sins so I could receive the total work of the cross in my life.

My Declaration:
I am Thinking Big and Declaring that I have been buried with Jesus into baptism. The old person of the flesh is dead. I am a new creature and the old things have passed away and all things are new.

God’s Big Heart

Sermon Notes: Sunday, May 7, 2017
Pastor Lloyd Bustard
Message Title: God’s Big Heart

My Understanding:
I understand that we were all born in sin. The Bible describes our sinfulness as, blind, slavery, and dead. Spiritual blindness: 2 Corinthians 4:4: Spiritually slavery: John 8:34: Spiritually dead: Ephesians 2:1

My Awareness:
I am aware that the wrong Biblical teaching concerning sin can lead to being harsh, and condemning to the sinner and that can give the lost person a sense of worthlessness and no hope.

My Disassociation:
I disassociate from the attitude of not caring for the lost. I will not be like Jonah who was angry at God because God was slow to anger and large in mercy for the people of Nineveh.

My Declaration:
I am Thinking Big and Declaring that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has come to dwell in my life so that I can reflect the beautiful and compassionate heart of God. I will allow God’s love to shine through me so that the lost can be found, and the blind can see, and the dead will be spiritually resurrected to a new life in Christ!
